| 1. What religion do you follow? |
I'm an atheist for about a decade now...I don't have a problem with people praying or God or being spiritual, but I do have issues with organized religion. I also tend to take the more scientific approach... |
| 2. What religion were you raised as? |
Reformed Lutheran...baptized and confirmed so yes, I can get married in a church. And shockingly, I'd want my kids to be baptized and confirmed as well...and let them decide for themselves. My choice doesn't make it theirs. |
| 3. Do you believe that forgiveness is a religious property, or a human property? |
Human. I think certain religions instill it into people, but I think ultimately it's based on how you were raised and what kind of person you've become. There are, in retrospect, religious people who doublespeak and lack values though they preach them, and agnostics and athiests who are far more moral. |
| 4. Do you believe in magic? |
magic tricks. sure. magic as some supernatural force. no. |
| 5. What was the last promise you broke? |
I'm kinda die-hard about believing in the whole 'don't say it unless you mean it thing' |
| 6. Do you believe that anyone could be perfect? |
no. perfection...it's something people strive for but there's always something you could have done better in some form of your life that probably hasn't even occured to you. |
| 7. Did you get everything you wanted over the last holiday season? |
My family and I all write out checks to each other...it's amusing. So yes, and if I didn't, I can probably buy it. |
| 8. Regarding your future, what is the best thing you could hope for? |
Happiness in all forms...career, family, friends, significant other...just to live life and make the most of it |
| 9. Do you let yourself get your hopes up for something even if you know that there is a large chance of failure? |
yes, despite the fact that I'm cynical, I'm an optimist at heart |
| 10. Have you ever bought a lottery ticket? |
yep, in PA...I think the most I've ever won was $10 |
| 11. Do you gamble? |
Not really...my ex was a gambler (nothing like spending 14 hours at the Borgata) and I saw what it made him into...ehh. I'll play slots, about $30 at most. That's it. |
|
|
| 12. Have you ever had something called off on account of bad weather, but then gone ahead and done it anyway? |
probably. I'm smart like that. Just move the party inside... |
| 13. What causes do you support? |
as far as political: I'm liberal but more moderate. My mom's side is all rep. I support big business (kinda have to on 2 accounts) but I believe in abortion and not hacking down all the trees in South America. I'm also a member of DAR and CAR, and of certain museums. Exciting, I know. |
| 14. What causes have you given money or time to? |
I do charity work ever since I pledged...silly I guess. Right now it's more of a time thing than money, but honestly, after working with a few organizations, I'd rather deal with those that want my time. Spending a few hours tutoring kids is going to make more of a difference than writing out another check (which will never be enough) to some major organization. |
| 15. Have you ever worked in a soup kitchen or done another kind of outreach for the homeless? |
yes, at Ville. |
| 16. Would you ever consider joining the Peace Corps, Amnesty International, or another travel-inherent worldwide charity group? |
Honestly, probably not. I don't mind donation time/money on a small scale, but I don't think I could pick up and move someplace for 2 years. Sounds shallow I guess, but I just honestly couldn't. |
| 17. Do you give money to the homeless on the street? |
No, there's quite a few scam artists and you can tell by looking at most of them that they aren't homeless. Sounds aweful, but it's true. |
| 18. Have you ever helped out a friend with basic needs, like rent or food? |
I don't know if I have but I would. |
| 19. What's the greatest extent you've gone to help a friend in need? |
probably sat through half a dozen surgeries and rehab and I'd do it again |
| 20. What are you most afraid of? |
amounting to nothing, lawsuits, marrying a deadbeat, snakes, needles, snakes with needles |
| 21. What did you do today that was really brave? |
nothing... |
| 22. Who is your favorite super hero, and why? |
No Answer |
|
|
| 23. Would you put your life in danger to rescue someone? . |
yeah |
| 24. If you were to face the Wizard of Oz, would you want more courage, more brains, or more heart? |
Good question. I think I have plenty of heart, maybe I'm deluding myself. I know I'm pretty smart, although more common sense would be good...I'm gonna have to go with courage. I have it but it waivers b/c I overanalyze things |
| 25. Have you ever gotten stage fright? |
yep...high school my friend made me do a play...terrifying b/c I'm naturally shy (unless I've had booze) |
| 26. Do you consider yourself to be a leader or a follower? |
leader...I'm confident enough in my self that I know when I'm right and I hate being a sheep that can't think for myself |
| 27. Have you ever been summoned for jury duty? |
3 times...I was away at school all 3 times. I've also had a jury trial that spanned 6 years of my life...that was also awesome. |
| 28. If they reinstituted the draft (for both genders), would you go, or would find some way out of it? |
ehh...it depends. If it was something like WW2, I would go in a heartbeat. Given our current situation, I don't support our president so I'm not really sure. |
| 29. Do you support capital punishment (the death penalty)? |
yes...the reform rate of people is so low...I like how they work things in the old country...you steal, off with an arm. I think repeat offenders should be nixed...people who have been out of jail and are back for the 3rd and 4th time? c'mon. Serial killers, rapists...let's just be done with it. |
| 30. Which should be guaranteed legal: cocaine, marijuana, heroin? |
No, no, and no. Legalization? Are you serious? |
| 31. Do you believe that Dubya is rightfully President of the USA? |
I think it's truly debatable...stupid Florida. How hard is it to fill out a ballot? |
| 32. What was your favorite media circus trial? |
OJ. C'mon people, we know he did it. |
| 33. What do you have the hardest time moderating yourself on? |
probably alcohol, if that counts... |
|
|
| 34. Do you collect anything? |
Old LPs, designer clothes, and I have a scarf fetish...I don't know why. If I weren't a college student and actually HAD money, add classic cars to the list. I'd hunt mine down my old mercedes and also get a cherry red and white '56 Chevy Bel Air. I'm a dork. I know. |
| 35. Are you addicted to anything? |
I don't believe so |
| 36. Have you ever put anything on layaway or used an installment plan? |

| 37. What's your preferred method of paying for things? |
Credit Card...I hate carrying cash |
| 38. Tell us one thing you wish you hadn't let yourself do: |
I'm a firm believer in no regrets. you live once. Everything, good or bad, is an expereince that you learn something from. |
| 39. Do you feel that you obsess over things? |
I know I do...I am def. an overanalyzer and big on knowing 'why' |
| 40. Who is the wisest person you know? |
my mom, hands down. I'm not saying that b/c she's a parent. we have a love-hate relationship. She is by far the smartest person I know when it comes to legal issues, history, horiculture, art, people, relationships...she's always dead on. |
| 41. Have you ever participated in a vigil? |
hmm...I think I got roped into one for some sorority function once |
| 42. Do you take advice when it's given? |
Depends. I should probably take my own more often. |
| 43. What area are you wisest in? |
I am GREAT at giving other people advice, but I can never navigate my own situations, probably b/c I always want to see the best in them |
| 44. Do you drive defensively? |
Yes, especially below the Mason Dixon. There's things called turn signals people! |
| 45. Have you ever had unprotected sex outside of marriage? |
who hasn't |
| 46. What did you learn today? |
That I probably should take my inhalers on a daily basis. Just a thought. Oh and that I might be a bit more conservative than I previously thought? I guess it's different when you write it all out? |
